I bet your kids have been begging you to upgrade to the new 3DS to take advantage of all its features. The 3DS makes use of new slider controls for volume and 3D depth adjustments, as well as enabling or disabling Wi-Fi and the engineers did preserve their fantastic d-pad design and action buttons, which feel poppy and responsive. They’ve improved upon the mushy shoulder buttons of the previous generation.

If you loved the practicality and functionality of the R4 for your NDS and DSLite, you’re gonna love the R4 3DS on your 3DS. Yes, it’s true, the classic R4 brand is now fully operational and compatible with the 3DS console. May we introduce to you the all new R4i 3DS SDHC! The R4i 3DS SDHC is fully compatible with NDS, NDS Lite, DSi, DSiXL and 3DS. Additionally, this all new version of the R4i 3DS SDHC is fully compatible with Micro SDHC (high capacity) cards including 4GB, 8GB, 16GB, 32GB and even the new 64GB!

All right, so you either accidentally or purposely (boneheaded move!) went ahead and updated your DSi or 3DS to the newest 1.4.2 firmware and you got the dreaded card not recognized error! Well, your worries are over. No, you cannot roll back the DS firmware to a compatible firmware version (unless you know something the rest of the video gaming world does not) but you can update many of the newest DSi and 3DS carts to work flawlessly on this firmware.

The following Backup Units have been updated and have downloadable updates to support the 1.4.2 firmware:

AceKard 2i – AK2i

M3i Zero Sakura

SuperCard DSTWO SCDS2

R4i SDHC

R4i 3DS

So we’ve got you covered for this update, but in the future, do not update your firmware! Unless of course you don’t mind losing the functionality of your precious flash cart. And if you’ve got one of those old clunker cards (oh the shame!) now is the perfect time to get one of the newest and best cards.

You’ve worked so hard on your gaming achievements and have saved your game progress accordingly. Now imagine if you turned on your DS one day to discover all your game saves were either corrupted or vanished. Yes, that would suck, but we have the solution for you. May we present to you the NDS Backup Adapter Plus:

This nifty device allows you to backup the save files from legitimately purchased NDS games, which is perfect for gamers who are concerned about losing precious save data. It is really simple, you plug your cart into the adapter then plug the adapter into your PC via USB. You can then either upload or download your save file. This keeps your save files safe from being accidently ereased or lets you try different things on games that only have 1 save like Pokemon. By being able to download your save you can then edit it with PokeSAV giving you accesss to any Pokemon you want, you can also max them out with the best moves and stats, or give yourself infinite money or masterballs.

The NDS Backup Adapter Plus works flawlessly with flashcarts like the R4, AceKard2i and CycloDS iEvolution, allowing you to place your actual real saves to that and play on the flash cart or viceversa.
