The Magic Switch is an easy and affordable way to play your PS2 original, purchased game backups or original import games. It is a completely "never seen before" solution and alternative to a ModChip for the PSTwo Slimline. Only for use with original, purchased game title backups for which the original software license has been purchased. With the Magic Switch you no longer have to install a ModChip to be able to play your original, purchased game backups or original import games. You do not even have to open the console, therefore your warranty stays intact. Normally when installing a backup solution, you have to open your console, and "split" the warranty sticker on the back. Thats all history now.... The Magic Switch does not make any changes to the internal system of your PSTwo Slimline. So after and when using the Magic Switch your PSTwo is operating completely normal. Playing PS2 and PS1 original games as it should, and playing DVD movies as it should.

The version 1, 2 and 3 PlayStation2 all have 10 screws on the bottom of the unit.

SCPH30001 v2 = Serial# begins U0

The version 4, 5, 6 and 7 PlayStation 2 all have 8 screws on the bottom of the unit. The 4 and 5 also have the electrical warning stamped on the bottom of the PlayStation 2 case.
